Kisha M. Hebbon was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was raised in Camden, New Jersey.  She attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick and earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Administration of Justice in 1997.  While at Rutgers University, Kisha became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.  In 2000, she received her Juris Doctorate from Rutgers School of Law in Newark, New Jersey.  Kisha is licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey.

Upon graduating from Rutgers School of Law, Kisha went to work for the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office in Hackensack, New Jersey, where she gained exceptional criminal litigation and appellate practice experience.  While assigned to the Appellate Section, she handled municipal court appeals in the areas of DWI, traffic offenses, harassment, assault, and possession of narcotics.

In 2002, Kisha accepted a position with the United States Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons.  During her first year with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, she was an Assistant Regional Counsel for the Northeast Region.  In 2003, Kisha was assigned to the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Fort Dix, New Jersey, which is the largest federal prison in the United States and houses approximately 4,500 inmates.  As the only Staff Attorney at FCI Fort Dix, she was responsible for all litigation, which included Bivens complaints, petitions for writ of habeas corpus, and Federal Tort Claim actions (personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and loss of property).  Kisha also responded to all inmate grievances and ensured that inmate discipline was in compliance with policy and the law.  As an Executive Staff Member, she advised the Warden and staff on all legal matters.  Kisha also taught Ethics and Standards of Employee Conduct to all new employees and during annual training.

In 2005, Kisha founded the Law Offices of Kisha M. Hebbon, LLC.  She has represented hundreds of clients in the areas of family and divorce law, criminal law, real estate law,  and municipal law.  Kisha has mastered the art of litigation and enjoys trying cases.  She has also handled hundreds of appellate cases and attributes her success in this area to her strong writing skills and ability to spot key issues.   Kisha’s legal prowness has been recognized by Fox News, CNN, HLN, and MSNBC where she appears regularly as a guest legal commentator regarding prominent legal cases.  She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Somerset County Bar Association, the Middlesex County Bar Association, and the Garden State Bar Association.

Kisha knew that she wanted to be an attorney ever since she was in the Fourth Grade.  Despite growing up in Camden, New Jersey, where she had very few role models and resources, she was determined to reach her goal.  Kisha is proud to show the rest of the world that positive, hardworking, and successful people do come from inner-cities like Camden.  She is very passionate about motivating others to reach for the stars and to never give up.  She previously served as a Pop Warner Cheerleading Coach and as a Young Adult Leader at her church.  Kisha enjoys reading, public speaking, dancing, serving as a mentor, and spending quality time with her family.
